General Purpose Surface Protection Film

Hullguard Protect is a versatile surface protection film available in either a clear or blue finish — both with a thickness of 0.05mm and featuring Nitto's trusted Special Adhesive Technology.

Ideal for protecting lacquered and smooth surfaces during construction, refits, transportation, and storage, these films offer strong, reliable adhesion when applied to clean, dry surfaces. They're easy to handle and apply, with a comfortable roll size, low unwind force, and excellent humidity resistance — ensuring they stay in place throughout your project.

For best results, we recommend using our optional MPF application kits, which include a squeegee, film cutters, and core handles for easier installation on angled or curved surfaces.

Hullguard Premium is our flagship surface protection film, engineered for exceptional performance on both interior and exterior yacht surfaces. Made from high-quality white polyolefin, this film is available in two formats — MPF701 and MPF724 — and is ideal for protecting gelcoat and high-gloss finishes during construction, refits, or winter layup.

MPF701 is the only marine protection film we know of that's tested and approved for 12 months of UV resistance and weatherability, while MPF724 offers robust protection for up to 9 months. Both versions prevent oxidation, apply cleanly with no adhesive transfer, and remove without leaving residue.

Thanks to their impressive 600% elongation, Hullguard Premium films conform easily to complex hull, deck, and superstructure shapes — providing a reliable barrier that stretches and protects without compromise.

Deckguard Teak & Metal Protect (SPV403H70) is a specialist surface protection tape developed for use on teak decking and metal surfaces such as stainless steel, anodised aluminium, and coated metals. This black-and-white film has been tested extensively for marine environments and removes cleanly without leaving any residue.

Designed to shield high-traffic areas during construction, refits, storage, or transport, the tape protects surfaces from scratches, scuffs, and contaminants. It features a white PE top film with a black underlayer and a pressure-sensitive natural rubber adhesive — offering high adhesion performance while maintaining safe removability.

Known in the industry as the "Blue Metal Guard," Hullguard Blue Metal+ (SPV-224) is a translucent blue PVC-based surface protection tape widely trusted for protecting stainless steel and aluminium — both in marine environments and across the processed metals industry.

This film is highly conformable, making it ideal for curved or irregular metal components found across a vessel, such as winches, cleats, and structural panels. It's engineered with a special acrylic adhesive designed for outdoor use, delivering strong adhesion while ensuring clean removal with no residue.

Hullguard Unpolished (9330) is a specialist surface protection film designed for unpolished metals and rough or textured substrates. With its high initial tack and low surface gloss, it's ideal for protecting interior areas such as furniture, carpets, fittings, and other sensitive elements during marine construction or refit.

Its semi-transparent finish allows for easy visual inspection of the protected surfaces, while the unique base film design prevents stretching during application — ensuring a more reliable seal and clean removal.

Despite its strong adhesion, Hullguard Unpolished is peelable with no residue, making it a safe, effective choice for detailed and high-traffic areas. The film is also fully recyclable, aligning with responsible environmental practices.

Nitto Slipguard (4222E) is a high-performance protective film designed for temporary underfoot protection during vessel builds, refits, and maintenance. It safeguards surfaces against dust, dirt, foot traffic, paint splashes, and water stains, keeping your deck areas clean and protected.

Its textured anti-slip surface enhances safety in dry conditions, while the film remains easy to apply with minimal effort — provided the surface is clean and dry. Once in place, Slipguard offers excellent abrasion resistance, holding firmly without tearing or lifting prematurely.

Ideal for use on a wide variety of marine flooring, including wood, teak, varnished, or painted surfaces, Slipguard leaves no adhesive residue upon removal, even after extended use.
